Nicholas Ruberg- Guitar teacher

Nicholas Ruberg (Guitarist) has completed his final year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, attaining a Bachelor degree of Music in Jazz Performance. He has worked with the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra, The Dan Barnett Big Band, the Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra, Sydney Conservatorium Big Band (this involved a national tour in 2018, also performing at the Sydney jazz festival and Manly jazz festivals). In 2020, the Sydney Conservatorium Big Band recorded an album with NYC based saxophonist and composer Will Vinson which is soon to be released. The previous year, Nick started working with Daniel Francis Entertainment, a booking agency for corporate events, weddings and parties. Currently, he is composing and performing his own arrangements with a quartet, a notable show being the ‘Festival of Mosman’. He is also recording and performing with a hand full of contemporary groups, one of which being the Oscar Eager Band who are booked to play the Bellingen Jazz Festival in November 2021.

Aside from live performance, Nick also has a passion for teaching and has been tutoring students both privately and with Tutti Music Academy and Arcadenia Music Academy for a number of years. (Tutoring through Musicore Academy in 2019). He is comfortable with teaching kids all the way through to adults of ranging skill levels (beginner, intermediate, adept), covering areas from fundamentals of guitar and ukulele, contemporary and traditional jazz, Improvised music, Latin music styles, Rock, Blues and Pop/contemporary. Lessons are always tailored to

the individual with the intent of giving students the tools and skills that will help them reach their full potential and ultimately, become the musicians they want to be.
