Josh Salter - Vocal teacher
Berlin based Australian singer Joshua Salter holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Newcastle (majoring in voice) and also holds a Graduate Diploma of Education.
In 2020 Joshua will play the leading role of ‘Time’ in the staged oratorio The Triumph of Time and Truth (Oper Oder Spree) in Neuzelle, Germany.
In 2019 he successfully auditioned for the Opera Australia extra chorus for their Opera on the Harbour production of La Traviata.
In 2018 Joshua attended the Berlin Opera Academy with the Zenaida Piontkovsky Memorial Scholarship with support from the Wagner Society in NSW and the Opera and Arts Support Group and played the role of Peter (the father) in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. Joshua also attended the Lisa Gasteen National Opera School in 2016 as a scholarship holder and played the roles of Orfeo (Orfeo ed Eurydice-Gluck) and Jupiter (Orpheus in der Unterwelt-Offenbach).
Joshua has taught Voice in Sydney since 2012, encompassing beginner to advanced abilities.
His students have worked in professional productions (Opera Australia’s Werther, La Boheme, Wozzeck, and School of Rock), been nominated for Encore, and some have gone on to study at Australia’s leading music institutions. (Sydney Conservatorium, NIDA, Griffith University).
He specialises in:

- Preparing students for AMEB and HSC examinations, concerts and eisteddfods.
- Classical, Music Theatre, and Contemporary styles.
- Working with young voices.
- Singer/Songwriters looking to improve their vocals.
