Hannah Burton- Vocal teacher

Hannah was awarded the Regional Vocal Scholarship with Opera Australia in 2019 getting to perform and learn from Opera Australia professionals culminating in a performance for Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini. Hannah has also been a part of Opera Australia’s children’s Choir for The Magic Flute. Hannah has toured internationally as a soloist and chorister with the West of The Divide in Italy, The Vatican City, Slovenia and Croatia, and came second in the international Enkor Competition.

For the High School Certificate, Hannah was a featured artist at Schools Spectacular and nominated for Encore in 2019. Hannah has performed with Opera Hunter as a soloist in their production of ‘Love, Life and Opera’ (2019) The National Choral School Gondwana in ‘Gondwana Voices’ (2017) and came third in the Sydney Eisteddfod for Musical Theatre (2018). 

In Tamworth, Hannah has been featured and performed at the Country Music Festival and CAPERS. Involved with the Tamworth Musical Society and Dramatic Society productions, Hannah has performed in shows like the Sunset Blvd, The Addams Family, Oklahoma, Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. Hannah was also awarded the Gary Brown Performing Arts award in 2019. She was a Backing Singer, Assistant Stage Manager and lighting operator for “Epiphanies” at Capitol Theatre Tamworth and Seymour Centre, working with some of Australia’s top musical theatre performers like Daniel Belle, Kerry Anne Greenland and Robert McDougall. 

In 2020, Hannah and Grace Kim co-directed and starred in Heart to Heart: Concert for Community to raise money for Saint Vincent DePaul and C3 Cares to alleviate homelessness: Performing Broadway, Jazz and Classical Music.
